ALL ABOUT MR. TYLER

Mr. Tyler starting teaching music way back in 1993! He earned his bachelors degree from Oral Roberts University in Music Education and a double masters degree from Northwestern University in music education as well as voice and opera performance. Mr. Tyler has also been a private vocal and piano instructor for over 30 years. Mr. Tyler taught in Illinois and Iowa before coming to Georgia. Most recently he taught music at D.L. Sims Elementary in Conyers, Georgia. Mr. Tyler's beautiful family includes his wife Stephanie and his three boys, Andrew, Nicolas and Noah.

Welcome to Mr. Tyler's Music Class website, the website of Youth Elementary Music Department! I am so glad that you have visited. Here you will find information for music classes at YES, announcements, event dates, audio files and documents for rehearsing and many more useful items supporting the music program at YES.

The music department includes Kindergarten through 5th Grade general music classes where the students sing, move, play instruments and learn music fundamentals (including reading music). The music department also includes a music lab for learning, exploring and creating music through electronic keyboards and computer software.
